Breathe
Posted in Uncategorized on 09/19/2008 10:43 pm by adminThis is the first chance I’ve had in a while to breathe… or blog. I’m SO tired. It’s been a really long week at work. I like my job, don’t get me wrong. I’m just exhausted by the end of the week. This baby sure is wearing me out. Normally my energy levels would be so much higher and I’m having a really hard time adjusting to the decrease in energy. It’s hard not being able to physically do as much as you’re used to doing.
I told my bosses and h/r at work this week about my pregnancy. They were happy for me and very congratulatory. Honestly, they were wonderful. They acted like it was no big deal. I think I’m going to be able to get a three month unpaid maternity leave. I do have short-term disability through the company so that benefit will kick in while I’m out, which will be nice. At least it will help with expenses a little while I’m not working. They said I could come right back into my current position after my maternity leave, which I’m very excited about. God definitely worked everything out for me. Go God!
And on another note, Judgment preparations are in full swing. If you can spare any time to help Kenny, that would be awesome. He’s doing a lot of construction for the set this year so if you’re handy with a saw or nail gun, I know he would appreciate the help. There’s a lot of buzz surrounding it this year so I’m sure we’ll have much more attend than the 2,700 count last year. If you have a chance, visit the official Judgment website: http://www.judgment2008.com.

I feel your pain. There were times I felt I could have slept through my entire first trimester. But on a positive note, it did go away for me, so there’s hope for you. It came back some during this last trimester, but a nice 30 minute nap a day seems to take care of it for the most part. You’re body is busy so you don’t ever quite have as much energy as before, but you can still manage everything. I’m glad your work took it well and is willing to work with you on your maternity leave, I’ll be praying you’re able to find a good person to watch your baby (my niece or nephew) once you go back to work. Love you girl!!! =)
