Awesome Story!

This is such an awesome story!  It’s so encouraging to see young people stand up for Christ and Christian values.  We should all be praying for Tim Tebow.  Satan will definitely be attacking him because of his faith and the fact that he’s living it out loud.

Just a thought…

I’m tired of people constantly complaining about everything, whether it be politics, the crisis in Haiti, work, church, people, whatever it may be.  Yes, we live in a world that has many problems.  Why don’t you use your brain power for suggesting a solution for the problems we face?  I would much prefer this to the complaining I hear, which solves nothing.  Or even better, you could DO something.  If everyone would do a little, than much would be accomplished.  Just a thought…

Philippians 2:13-15 (NIV)

“13for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.

14Do everything without complaining or arguing, 15so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe.”

A New View of Customer Relations

“Treat your customer as if he entered the world’s finest hotel..make them long to return.”

I saw this quote on the openforum.com today.  It definitely got me thinking…

Happy New Year!!!

It’s 2010!  I’m SO excited to see what God has in store for me and my family this year.  As I pondered on this new year and dreamed and plotted, I realized I have a tendency to overcomplicate things.  Especially New Year’s resolutions.  The reason I mention this is I feel God leading me to keep my focus on one simple thing this year.  So I’m doing something very different this year.  Instead of breaking my life down into different areas such as God, marriage, family, etc. and then writing a list of goals, I am instead going to keep my focus on the one and only thing that really truly matters.  Here it is:

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”

These were Jesus instructions to his disciples in Mark 16:15 shortly after he had been crucified and had risen from the dead.  Of all the things he could’ve said, this was his instruction.  So basically, my New Year’s resolution is simply stated

“I will make known to others through my words and actions the good news that Jesus died and rose from the dead so we can be saved from hell.”

The reason I feel this is so important is because of this Scripture:

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.  Be on guard!  You do not know when that time will come.  It’s like a man going away:  He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with an assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch.

Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back - whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn.  If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping.  What I say to you, I say to everyone: ‘Watch!’”
