I’ve been busy lately, thus the reason for my lack of posting. And I will be very busy the rest of the month so I probably won’t be posting much.
Kenny and I had our 6th wedding anniversary last Sunday. Go us! Yes, that’s right folks… 6 years. We’ve been together for almost 10 years now. It’s just crazy how time flies. God has definitely blessed us and I pray He continues to do so. Please pray for us and our marriage. Satan definitely has tried to attack our marriage through the years and we need all the prayers we can get to thwart the plans of the enemy.
We went to Chattanooga Friday night and had a very nice dinner at the Back Inn Cafe. It was very good… and very expensive. Then we spent the night at the Chattanoogan and met up with Jonathan and Tiffany on Saturday morning. We spent the day with them, just hanging out. They’re doing really well and their dog, Max, is full grown now. So cute! He reminds me SO much of Charlie Brown. We went to the theatre and watched the new James Bond movie, which was awesome! It was the first 007 movie Tiffany had ever seen. Can you believe that? Crazy! Then we ate dinner at Lupi’s… yummy. It was a great weekend! Lots of fun! It’s always good to spend time with Jonathan and Tiffany. We miss them.
Well, one more thing I will mention before I go. Kenny and I have decided on a name for the baby. We, of course, reserve the right to change our minds if we want but we really like this name so we’re pretty certain this is it. Her name will be… Katherine Emilyne Pyatt and we will call her Kate. I love it! It’s a beautiful name. Very classic but not old fashioned and not too common either. So she won’t grow up with 20 other Kate’s in her class. :) It’s a good, strong name and it’s pretty too. I’m excited! Well, gotta get ready for work. Have a good week everyone!

So apparently one of the lovely things that can begin to happen in your 25th week of pregnancy is the ligaments/muscles that support your uterus start to stretch. This can cause your sides to hurt. Well, my right side has pretty much been killing me for the last two weeks. I think this baby is trying to kill me.

I read a little online tonight about what to expect in my 23rd week of pregnancy. Apparently the baby is growing eyelashes and eyebrows and she can hear loud sounds outside of the womb. She is about 1 pound and 8 inches long. Pretty cool…
I also read up on newborn care for a little while tonight and, oh boy, I’m overwhelmed. There’s so much I need to learn and so much I need to prepare and I haven’t even started. I’m trying not to worry cause I know it’s all gonna work out but it is definitely overwhelming when I start to think about it all.

The Judgment is officially over. It has been a very successful year. I don’t have the official numbers yet but I’m estimating over 4,000 in attendance with over 400 decisions for Christ. God is so good! He has tremendously blessed all our hard work this year. I would also like to say how proud I am of my husband, Kenny. He has done such a superb job coordinating and directing this event and I know it could not have been a success without him. You da man!
And now I actually get to sleep and be at home instead of at church. Weird…

Okay, so is the anticipation killing you yet? LOL! ;-) I couldn’t update yesterday and tell everyone whether it was a boy or girl cause I hadn’t been able to get a hold of all my family members yet. I didn’t want any of them to find out from reading my blog. It’s just not very personal. I know you guys understand.
So… here we go… the ultrasound lady yesterday confirmed that we are having… a girl.
That’s right… a girl. Took me by surprise cause for some reason I really felt like I was going to have a boy. I am excited and definitely happy. I would’ve been happy either way so this is cool. We’re having a girl.
God is good!

Everyone keeps asking me so I’m going to blog it and then maybe everyone will stop asking me. We will find out if Baby Pyatt is a boy or a girl next Tuesday, Oct. 21st. I promise we will tell everyone once we find out what it is. And no, I have no preference for it to be a boy or a girl. I will be very happy either way.
On a side note, please be praying for me. I got sick a couple of weeks ago and I’m still fighting the same junk. I’ll get better and then I’ll get worse and then I’ll get better and then I’ll get even worse. It’s really frustrating. I’ve been trying to rest and do everything I’m supposed to in order to get better but it doesn’t seem to be helping much. So your prayers are very much appreciated.

Okay so everyone has been telling me I’ll start feeling the baby move soon. I’m not sure what it’s supposed to feel like so until I really feel the baby move and then I know how it feels, I’m not sure if this is the first real movement or not but I thought it was noteworthy enough to blog about.
Last night in church during praise and worship, all of a sudden I felt a pressure in the top left side of my abdomen. It felt like someone’s fist was pushing against my stomach wall from the inside. It wasn’t a quick come-and-go feeling, not a flutter or anything like that. It was really weird. It happened on and off for most of the evening. So I might have felt my kid move but I might just be having some sort of weird cramps too so who knows. Still… it’s a cool thought.

I felt absolutely exhausted after work on Friday so instead of going to the youth rally (which I was really bummed about missing), I went home and went to bed at 6:30PM. I woke up Saturday morning at 8:00AM totally refreshed and feeling much more like myself. Guess all you need sometimes is 13 1/2 hours of sleep.
Anyway, I had a pretty productive weekend. I cleaned the house, finished cleaning the dirty dishes, folded four loads of laundry and did two more loads of laundry, packed up the rest of the downstairs at my in-laws house and packed up my old closet. Whew! Now all I have left to do at the old house is pack up the upstairs linen closet and the spare bedroom and Kenny will need to get any other things from his office he might have left. Then we’ll be done!!! Well… then I need to sell the rest of the furniture I left at the house and get rid of all the junk in the garage. Ugh… so much to do and so little time. I don’t care! I’m not going to let the feeling of “too much to do” ruin my feeling of accomplishment over how much I was able to do this weekend.
Finishing things is a good feeling.
On another note, I took my wonderful friend, Melissa, to lunch for her 30th birthday yesterday at Fulin’s Asian on the Avenue and she ended up giving me a huge garbage bag full of really nice maternity clothes. I’m totally stoked!

Today is my honey’s 30th birthday and I just wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! You are the love of my life and there is no one else I would rather spend the rest of my life with. You are my best friend, my confidante, my on-hand comedian, my oober geek and more than I can write in one post. Thanks for spending the last ten years of your life with me. It’s been a great ride!
Have a wonderful day today. Do lots of fun things and make sure you eat tons of cake today, but only if it’s really yummy. Can’t wait till Saturday! I love you!
On a side note, I have a nephew now everyone. He was born on Kenny’s birthday. Brent Daniel Karraker was born at 12:02AM this morning. He is 7 lbs. 14 ozs. 20 1/2 inches long and an absolutely cutie!

And the mantra continues… tired exhausted bushed beat. Yup… that pretty much sums it up. My doctor said I would get over the tired phase pretty soon. And boy, I can’t wait. Whew!
