Ode to My Husband and my nephew

Today is my honey’s 30th birthday and I just wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!  You are the love of my life and there is no one else I would rather spend the rest of my life with.  You are my best friend, my confidante, my on-hand comedian, my oober geek and more than I can write in one post.  Thanks for spending the last ten years of your life with me.  It’s been a great ride!

Have a wonderful day today.  Do lots of fun things and make sure you eat tons of cake today, but only if it’s really yummy.  Can’t wait till Saturday!  I love you!

On a side note, I have a nephew now everyone.  He was born on Kenny’s birthday.  Brent Daniel Karraker was born at 12:02AM this morning.  He is 7 lbs. 14 ozs. 20 1/2 inches long and an absolutely cutie!

Tired

And the mantra continues… tired exhausted bushed beat.  Yup… that pretty much sums it up.  My doctor said I would get over the tired phase pretty soon.  And boy, I can’t wait.  Whew!

Really Freakin’ Awesome!

My wonderful husband found us a washer (Kenmore) and dryer (Maytag) for $125 total.  And I thought that was totally freakin’ awesome so I just had to share with everyone.  We got them used from a couple here in Murfreesboro.  God is definitely good!  The cheapest washer/dryer set we could find at a department store totaled about $600 so thank God we found this one!  Now we just need to find a refrigerator…

I’ll be really glad when this pregnant tired stuff is all over with.  I’m SO exhausted!  I actually fell asleep at the dining room table.  That’s how tired I am and I slept in this morning too.  Ugh… whatever!  Think I’m gonna go take a nap now.

Breathe

This is the first chance I’ve had in a while to breathe… or blog.  I’m SO tired.  It’s been a really long week at work.  I like my job, don’t get me wrong.  I’m just exhausted by the end of the week.  This baby sure is wearing me out.  Normally my energy levels would be so much higher and I’m having a really hard time adjusting to the decrease in energy.  It’s hard not being able to physically do as much as you’re used to doing.

I told my bosses and h/r at work this week about my pregnancy.  They were happy for me and very congratulatory.  Honestly, they were wonderful.  They acted like it was no big deal.  I think I’m going to be able to get a three month unpaid maternity leave.  I do have short-term disability through the company so that benefit will kick in while I’m out, which will be nice.  At least it will help with expenses a little while I’m not working.  They said I could come right back into my current position after my maternity leave, which I’m very excited about.  God definitely worked everything out for me.  Go God!

And on another note, Judgment preparations are in full swing.  If you can spare any time to help Kenny, that would be awesome.  He’s doing a lot of construction for the set this year so if you’re handy with a saw or nail gun, I know he would appreciate the help.  There’s a lot of buzz surrounding it this year so I’m sure we’ll have much more attend than the 2,700 count last year.  If you have a chance, visit the official Judgment website:  http://www.judgment2008.com.

New Site

I have a new site.  Apparently my old site had been taken over by hackers… or something like that.  Anyway, it had been marked as an “unsafe” site that could infect anyone who visited it.  So Kenny fixed it for me cause he’s wonderful like that and now I’m back in the blogging world.

Well, gotta go to work.  Hope y’all have a great week!
