Okay, so I’m a new Mom.  Most people that read my blog already know that.  I have a beautiful three month old (almost four months old) daughter named Kate.  She is the joy of my life and I love being a Mommy.

That being said, as a new Mom, I understand how scary it can be at times and how you can use all the help you can get.  In this information age, it’s easy to find information to help you with whatever you need but at the same time, it’s hard to sort through it all to find anything that’s helpful.  Talk about a Catch 22!

Well, I am going to start my Mommy Posts to help other new Mommies.  These posts will be about things I have learned as a new Mom (and also things I learned as a first-time pregnant Mom) that I hope through my blog will also help other new Mommies.  Leave me a comment if there’s something specific you would like me to blog about or if you have any questions.  Happy blogging to all new Mommies!  Isn’t being a Mommy the best?!

Mommy Post #1 - Teething

My daughter, Kate, is 3 months old (two days shy of 4 months old).  She just started teething a few weeks ago… yes, that’s right… I have an early teether!  Fun stuff!  ;-)  Honestly, it hasn’t been too bad yet but one of my wonderful Mommy friends, Liz, is a life saver and gave me these teething tablets at my baby shower.  These things work wonders!  They’re really small and you take two or three of them and put them under your baby’s tongue.  They dissolve really quick and apparently don’t taste too bad cause Kate doesn’t try to spit them out like she does her Poly-Vi-Sol vitamins.  You can give them up to four times daily and they’re totally natural so I don’t feel guilty for giving them to her.  Great stuff!  I HIGHLY recommend it!!!

I’m choosing to use my fifteen minutes to blog and browse the Internet for a few minutes.  Fun stuff…

I hate Spam!!!!!  And Spammers!!!!!  Death to you!!!!!  Okay, maybe not death but definitely great pain and agony…

As part of my devotions this morning, I read Psalm 138.  God truly has a plan and a purpose.  I think this is my new Psalm to meditate on.  Hopefully it will help someone else today as well.

So I got laid off today.  Yup.  Please pray for me and for us.  I’m trying to decide what to do next and not sure what to do.  I know God’s in control.  I just need direction from Him right now.

I was so completely zonked when I got home tonight.  Kate had fallen asleep in the car seat and Kenny offered to get her when she woke up so I could go to sleep.  It was about 6:30PM so I set my alarm for 8PM thinking that would be a good nap.  Well, apparently I was so exhausted I slept right through my alarm and Kenny finally woke me up at 9PM so I could feed Kate.  Wow!  What a week!  I’m so glad I have a wonderful husband who cares about me and helps me with the everyday things.

Here are some pics of our beautiful daughter… finally.  Things have been hectic with me starting back to work last week so I haven’t had any time.  I still don’t but I’m sacrificing precious sleep at the moment to do this so YOU BETTER APPRECIATE THESE PICS!!! LOL!  Just kidding.  You can thank Danie for these… she took them… they’re so cute!
